I do like this book. It's sort of chick lit (despite having been written by a man) but as chick lit goes, it's at the higher level. I think Emma's a great character. She's insecure and a little lost but without ever being pathetic. And she just feels very real. On the other hand, I think Dexter's a complete knob. I don't see what about him is so charming or compulsive. Granted his physical appearance isn't exactly visible in the book. But even so, I just don't get it. I do feel that the end is a cop out. And a deep anticlimax.
Still reading, but I'm forcing myself to read it. His style carries it a little, but the plot of this is just not so interesting.
