August Wilson's play "Fences", is a bird's eye view into how relationships can be really hard. Also how difficult and complicated it can be. "Fences" is about an African American family who has difficulties with one another. Troy Maxson is the main character. "Fences" is the type of play that a lot of families can relate to, especially if you're black. I think me and my family can relate because we have the same problems they have in the play. The key moment in the play is when Troy tells his wife,Rose, that he has cheated and the other woman is having his child. I think by the end of the play, Wilson's creativeness would slap you in the face and make you notice that if you have the same problems, there is a solution.
A quick read, once I got going, but pretty cheesy overall. I should have believed people who told me it was a cultural moment ok to miss!
