Interesting characters and story, but there are quite a few unanswered questions that the characters and the author never seem to address (though it seems obvious questions that should be addressed to move on with the mystery of the story and to understand the tribunal who wants Delbeth) and the flow of the story jumps quite a bit. One moment the heroine, Delbeth, is carefree and intent to be a "normal" teenager, in the next she's focused on channelling her vampire side to be emotionless, and then she's back to being an immature human. I can understand that it is part of maturing and I don't mind it too much, but I do hope Delbeth will get pass this in the second book. I liked reading about Delbeth and her vampire love Galian, though it did seem to get repetitive at times in the description of their love and Delbeth's unreasonable anger with him when she's in one of her moods.
