I absolutely love this book. Its funny, shocking, apocalyptic, tragic, and philosophically complex, as it surfaces several questions about the ethical nature of choice and free will. As I mentioned earlier to my friend Catie, I've talked to a lot of people who have hated this book and a lot of people who have found it amazing. I think it all depends on your dedication to TRYING to understand it. Anthony Burgess invented a whole new vernacular (a wierd mix of cockney, gypsie, and russian called Nadsat)for the characters of the book including the narrarator/protagonist, so it takes a few chapters to get used to the language in order to figure out exactly whats going on. I think you'll like it. Just stick with it and it'll redeem itself. When you do start reading it, my brothers and only friends, heres a link to a website that offers a nadsat glossary. It really helps. http://soomka.com/nadsat.html
