** spoiler alert ** Great overall read, though some of it took a while to get through for me. Stephenie made for some good closure, although I was a little disappointed with some of it. Undoubtedly, a lot of stuff happened in this last book but mostly, it felt rushed. So much build up for this one happening, this one battle between the Cullen's alliance and the Volturi, all for naught, it seemed. Sometimes it just felt like everything was going along a little too well, like Bella's transformation, her growing powers, their success against the supposedly all-powerful force of the Italian vampires. Sometimes I don't like everything falling into place perfectly, and happily ever after. That's most of what didn't sit very well with me for this last book. I did however like the switch in POV between Jacob and Bella. It was funny to see some of Jacob's reactions in his comedic, sarcastic personality, where Bella's neurotic angst would normally be. The Twilight series was definitely a unique universe for vampires and what not, and worth reading. I just thought the last book was rushed and could've gone on, made things a little more epic so we don't feel empty or upset at the end of the series.
