A fairly typical small-town-full-of-Characters novel, but a quick and entertaining read. Mostly focused on the battle between a Brussels sprout farmer and a real estate development company which boils down to both sides playing increasingly destructive pranks (late night missions which the farmer refers to as 'monkey wrenching') on the other.
I think I may stop on my "read everything Meg Cabot's written" quest because I really have a hard time getting through her romance novels. They're so utterly anachronistic that it drives me batty, yet I still want to slap all of the characters silly. In this one, Kate becomes the governess of the Lord Wingate's recalcitrant daughter. Three guesses what happens, and the first two don't count. Cabot did throw in some interesting twists with Kate's past and the subplot with Craven, in a rather soap opera way.
This series is just silly fun. I don't have a whole lot to say about it other than that I enjoyed it and Bubbles cracks me up.
