I know a lot of people who have great taste in books loved this, but I really, actively disliked it. What can I say? Maybe it's because I had the Griffin and Sabine books burned in my brain as a teen and this was along the same lines but not nearly as creative and interesting as those? I know I'm in the minority, but both my younger sisters had the same vehement reaction. The first half was interesting, well written, and engaging enough to pull me along, but the ending actually made me throw the book. Well, at least it got a strong reaction!
To kill a mockingbird was a great book that i ever read because it showed me alot about how racism was against black and spanish. This story is about a whit man named atticus who is a lawyer and fights for a black men. The black men name is Tom Robinson and he was accused of raping a white girl. Even though tom was innocent he was found guilty because he was a black me. The juries were all white. Atticus is aman with two kids he was a great no matter who was the color of your skin. One of his kids were scout and jem and they were always there for atticus even if he lost. Through the whole book atticus was always defending the black and in the end something so dramatic happened to his that he had to get payback. if you want to know what happened than read the book.
